A Few More

Ada becoming overly-familiar with a friendly dog's eye.

A Series of Pictures in Which I Look Semi-Ridiculous

Today With Her Dad

I learned something about Ada today that I've long suspected--she just goes and goes and goes and seemingly never gets tired. I bet she walked 2 miles today on her short little legs (and then still had energy to dance around for 20 minutes after her bath). I wish I could do that.

After-Party

Ada went to her first "princess party" this morning (in honor of the royal wedding, of course). I didn't get a single pic of the actual party so here she is at home, after the festivities, looking tiny on our HUGE new couch. Seriously, Kyle owes me for the sheer volume of this thing plus the fact that my feet don't come anywhere close to the ground when I sit on it. It makes me look like a small child.

(Clearly, I have a hard time editing myself when it comes to pictures of my child)

Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle Go!!

Ok--so we really don't watch as much TV as this blog makes it seem, but go ahead and judge if you need to (don't worry, I'm probably judging you too).
We rewind this segment over and over and Ada goes wild every single time. Love that she feels such a strong compulsion to follow directions (we won't go into her ocd about having clean hands. I take full responsibility for creating that monster).

Bubbles

Here's Ada trying to blow bubbles.

Spring 4.0

BFFs

Quite the pair.

Spring 3.0

Ada saw all of these school kids and immediately had to incorporate herself into the group.
She's such a joiner. Kyle said "if she saw kids jumping off a bridge, she would too".
Yup. She totally would.

Spring 2.0

More of Ada's stripey black sweatshirt. If I'd been thinking, I would have maybe put her in something a bit more "springy". These aren't the most flattering of Ada, but my options were limited.

Spring 1.0

We headed to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine yesterday to take advantage of the gorgeous gardens. I took a million pics, but of course couldn't compete with the ones Kathryn took this same time/place last year. Also, a lot has changed--Ada is now walking and is the busiest little person alive, so taking photographs of her is nigh impossible (have I mentioned that before?).
More to come...

I think this post pretty much wrote itself.

Drum Baby

Unfortunately, you sometimes have to use the flash on your camera.
Ada loves/has to be involved.
She ran and got her daddy's drum sticks the second she noticed what was happening on her show.

This was her a few days earlier. I'm sure someone else was playing the drums (on Yo Gabba Gabba, of course).

Ada Has Fun

We finally made it to the Children's Museum of Manhattan. I have to say, it was much better than I was expecting (for all of you haters out there). Not sure why it took us so long to check it out.
Ada and Corinne. Weird, right? My friend Kami nannies her.

Climbing where she shouldn't be climbing.

This is classic Ada. The second she noticed Singing/Story Time she ran right up to the front of the room and plopped down next to the teacher. That kid has no fear. "Teacher's pet" in the making.

Reminiscing

She was such an odd little thing...

If your hospital room faces Times Square, you have to get an obligatory picture of it.
Please forgive us.

As Promised

I did it!! I took my camera outside. And then couldn't really take a decent picture with it.
Oh well.

Over-exposed but pure bliss

Ada and May

It was 80 degrees today. We spent the whole day outside. I might have a slight sunburn on my face. It was nice.
The end.

So Sad

Heaven forbid this child doesn't get what she wants when she wants it. She can put on quite the show, but tonight trumped all (her voluntarily not taking a nap this afternoon didn't help matters much). She was such a mess after wards. That's worth documenting, right? Even if it means yet another picture of her in front of the couch drinking milk?
Ada looking sadder than I've ever seen her.

I now vow to take my camera outside...
