The Forelock

The forelock's days are numbered now that the rest of his hair is starting to fill in. I liken his tuft to a well-endowed woman ie: it's the only thing people ever notice.  When it's gone he'll have to rely on his other merits.

Ada (and her glorious swooping bang) at the about the same age:

I told Ada I needed a pic of her for Nursery and this is what she gave me.  Pretty perfect.

3 Year Stats

I forgot to post these earlier. Gotta stay congruent.

height: 39.5 inches, 90th %
weight: 32 pounds, 50th %

that explains the stick legs. Jessie--I think we might be using the term "stork-like" in the near future...

At the Natural History Museum this morning. She always requests the dinosaurs (and elephants).

the bus ride home

Ada: Mommy. It's a  Brontosaurus!
Me: Why yes, yes it is. And I will gladly buy it for you.

I love that kid.

(And mom--why did you get rid of that huge Schleich dinosaur collection we had back in the day? Ada would be all over those right now.)

Washington Square Park

I finally got my new card reader so I'm finally getting these up here (3 weeks late).  It's always a party at Washington Square Park.

Labor Day

We rented a van and went to Spring Lake with the Littlewoods.  I'll take a windy/cold day if it means an empty beach. It was beautiful.

I had a blanket all set up with his toys, completely sand free. Took him all but 3 seconds to wander off with a fistful of sand in his mouth. Annoying baby.

He's so happy. ALL.THE.TIME

They seemed pretty happy too. Buried alive

  Flying a kite. Littlewoods lurking

this picture freaks me out...

While I wait for my new card reader to arrive, here are a few things.

For those of you who let your children watch TV (gasp), we discovered this show about a year ago.

It's cute, a lot less annoying than most kid's shows (I like to think it's because it's Canadian and never aired here. The same way I feel about Kipper, which is British. Plus, anything with an accent seems better).  It is quiet, low key and somewhat educational. Best of all, it's only 10 minutes so it makes it really easy to limit screen time.  It's probably better for the younger set. I would imagine that Ada will outgrow it soon. It's streaming on Netflix.

also, this water bottle is the best I've ever used (I consider myself sort of a connoisseur). Period.

be sure and get the new flip top cap.

You are welcome.

I was cleaning out the pictures on my phone and came across this one of Ada with her gymnastics coach over the summer.  D@#n did she love that class.
