My lovely and amazingly talented (and maybe a little teeny tiny bit crazy since she just had her third child a mere few weeks ago!!) friend Lesley put together another Easter Egg Hunt in Central Park. It was, of course, a glorious affair.
we play "picnic" everyday and she asks when the weather will warm up enough for us to have a real one. Ironic that when she finally had the opportunity she was too busy running around to even eat 2 strawberries: Waiting for the hunt to begin.
and they're off!
getting to work: staggering under the weight of her haul.
this pic makes me feel sad. but really it was just her reaching the end of the eggs and turning a hard left to go get some more.
Ada is, shall we say? competitive. last year she let me redistribute the eggs to other kids who didn't get as much. However, this year she felt full ownership over them. So fellow parents--sorry. I didn't feel like ending the day in tears so I let her selfishly hog them all. Let the judging commence.
May and Ada.
There was a separate hunt for the under-twos.
gah! that baby: he didn't get it at all--just kept banging two eggs together.
so serious: legs.
adventuring. I think between the two of us, Kyle and I (but mostly Kyle) ran about 5 miles chasing this guy around. We've got another busy one on our hands.
the whole group. So.Many.Strollers.
Thank you again Lesley! You are Superwoman.
