Ada has been having a hard time since getting back from Idaho (which means I've been having a hard time). Here's to 3 more weeks of summer vacation!
A few Ada-isms:
Mixing up some song lyrics "The holy gnome we know". ("the only home we know").
After asking her what happened to her shirt collar "I done chewed it". We of course all commented that this meant she'd been in Idaho for too long. Because you know... that's actually how they talk...
"That would make a beautiful scarf" to the zookeeper holding a ferret.
After seeing Jessie (my sister) for the first time this year: "You and my mom look exactly the same. Now I don't know which one of you is my mom."
To my friend Kiria about her new baby girl: "She's so cute. Your baby isn't ever going to be ugly."
Asking me about my nachos: "Why are you eating those nasty old things?"
To the guy in the elevator about his dog: "He's not interested in me petting him. He's only interested in his own bum."
To our friend Jeff who often crashes our couch when he visits NYC: "see you on our couch in New York!"

Here's attempt numero dos at capturing a newborn. I think I learned quite a bit from the first go-around. The beautiful natural light and perfectly photogenic bed didn't hurt at all (thanks Erinn!). Plus the beautiful mother/baby, obviously. Though I have to admit that I panicked a bit at the beginning when the baby was wide awake and the sun was behind some serious clouds. Luckily both of those things worked themselves out.
Little Lorelai. Perfectly pink and pleasant in every way.
Could this mother (of 3!!!!) possibly be any more beautiful?
When Tara suggested this next one, I was worried it would be cheesy. Then I almost cried.
And she's done.
